Cory Hildreth

Cory brings an impressive eclectic musical background to One Night Rodeo. Born and raised in Sarasota, he attended the Booker High School Visual and Performing Arts Academy beginning in ninth grade and studied classical styles, including music theory and composition. He competed in every Florida State vocal music contest for four years and received superior soloist and sight reading awards every year. He was a paid soloist in several Sarasota churches, and to round out his musical background he also appeared in high school musicals and madrigal choruses, but his heart was always grounded in pure country from the moment he heard Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell and Waylon Jennings on the 8-track tapes in the family car. At the age of 22, as a finalist in the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown, he performed with Aaron Tippin and Alan Jackson ( on the Spirit on the Suwanee Stage. He joined One Night Rodeo after he passed audition in Nashville for “Be A Star” in 1994. In 2007 he passed the audition for “Nashville Star” and “American Idol,” but One Night Rodeo’s win of Next GAC Star launched him and his band on track to country music prominence. Currently Cory has three CD’s cut, appears in the video“Alive and Living,” and is an active fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and many other public and private charities, as well as continuing as a popular club performer. He is a business owner and lives in Bradenton with his wife and children.
